Hello!

Welcome to Ask a Doctor service!

Regarding your concern, I would explain that these heart rate fluctuations are quite normal during daily activity. Your heart rate values are within the normal ranges.

You should know that some heart rate fluctuations are quite normal during different activities : anxiety, emotional stress, physical activity, even standing up, going to the bathroom, having a shower, etc..

So, try to relax and don't panic. Our heart rate depends on our metabolism. Even digestion and breathing can cause such changes in the mean heart rate.

Hope you will find this answer helpful!

I remain at your disposal for any further questions whenever you need!

Hello again!

Have you been tested for Covid infection?

These heart rate fluctuations do not indicate any heart disorders, and they are not typical of Covid infection (which is known to cause persistent tachycardia and different types of cardiac arrhythmia).

So, there is no reason to panic about your heart rate as it is within the normal ranges.

Hope you will find this information helpful!

Let me know in case of further uncertainties!

Wishing all the best,

Hello again!

Thank you for the additional information!

Although you may have been infected with Covid, these heart rate fluctuations are not suggestive of cardiac complications related to Covid.

So, try to relax and don't worry about it!

If you experience a rapid heart rate ( more than 100bpm), frequent palpitations, I would recommend performing an ambulatory 24-48hours ECG Holter monitoring in order to examine your heart rhythm trends for a prolonged period of time.
