Question: if you have asthma and had a good echocardiogram, blood tests and ekg from a cardiologist a few months ago, then is brief and mild tightness in the chest during intense exercise probably from the asthma? it usually doesn't occur at all but happened today for about 3 minutes amd then went away even though I didnt stop. I also worked my chest muscles recently.

Brief Answer:
Get done TMT and Stress echo.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your question on Ask a doctor forum.
I can understand your concern.
Sometimes resting ecg and echocardiography are normal.
Your chest symptoms are at exertion (exercise).
So better to get done Stress Echo and TMT (Trade mill test).
If they are normal then no need to worry for heart diseases related chest symptoms.
Then possibility of asthma related chest tightness is more likely.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.

Have you checked for PFT?

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your follow up question on Ask a doctor forum.

Sorry for late reply as I was busy in family function.
In my opinion, you should definitely get done PFT (Pulmonary Function Test) to see whether your asthma is controlled or not.
Please let me know
1. Have you ever undergone PFT (Pulmonary Function Test) before?
2. Are you taking any treatment for asthma?
Please reply me answers of above asked questions, so that I can guide you better. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.

I need to follow up with a pulmonologist. I have an albuterol. normally without it, my peak flow is about 420 to 460. when I take it, it goes up to about 550 or so. I used to take advair when I was younger and probably should get back on that or flovent but due to high blood pressure, I have to be careful.

the one on the left is a little tender but the one on the right is painless. I noticed them last night. they are symmetrical in size and location oddly. I have been having very minor and occasional pain in my upper left abdomen also.
