Question: hi there-

as i have said in the past, i have an anxiety disorder...

another thing i wondered about was the phenomenon that happens the morning after i go out.

last night i went to a loud bar with a friend. i dont drink so i had water... i definitely was anxious going but as i stayed and talked loudly, the music and noise stimulating me... i felt worse and worse. its like my body cant handle stimuli and everything is amped up. i had surges of adrensline, dizziness, nausea... and all i was trying to do was carry on a good conversation! i wasnt worrying at all.

i was only there 2 houra but this morning i woke up like i was hung over. have a headache around my eye, nauseous, buzzing in my ears and had surges of anxiety wake me up. like i was at a club all night dancing and drinking.

it is very common for this to happen if i go out in a stimulating environment? it makes it very hard to enjoy it!!

its like my nervous system is dialed up to 11 and i dont know hiw to dial it back down!

is this common in anxiety disorder? and is it dangerous?

Brief Answer:
Possible Mixed Anxiety And Phobic disorder

Detailed Answer:
Hello Ma'am

I can certainly understand your concern.

I have worked through your attached query in detail.

Yes, many of your symptoms point to underlying anxiety disorders mixed with features of phobia.

Intolerance to large sounds could be due to phobic factors as well as neurological issues like 7th/8th cranial nerve dysfunction.

You require a detailed neurological examination called Central nervous system examination before attributing it to Anxiety/Phobic disorder.

Consultation with a Neurologist and an Otolaryngologist is mandatory for the above.

Considering Anti-anxiety medications which can regulate the autonomic nervous system should be the next logical move.

This isn't really a dangerous condition and you need not be excessively worried.

Post your further questions if any.
