Question: hi doctor, My sister had a leg injury after a minor accident 5-6 months ago. But she has been suffering from knee pain since then. She was on medication and pain killer for quite sometime but nothing helped. She also had physiotherapy sessions but those also didnt help much. I have attached her latest report. Please suggest.

Brief Answer:
I would reassess and operate if required.

Detailed Answer:
Hi I am Dr Gopal Goel, Orthopedic Surgeon.
I have gone through the details and MRI report.
Since there is contusion and edema and partial tear in anterior cruciate ligament, pain on movement is expected.
I treat all my patients with pain killers , local heat and exercises for knee, check for stability in 4_6 weeks again. If improvement is present, it is ok else surgery may be required.
Thanks for the question. please feel free to ask any other question.
