Question: hi doc..my 4 year old daughter is antibiotic for pneumonia..and she started her antibiotic since yesterday afternoon, my question is when will her fever and cough get better?

Usually in such cases the fever subsides in 2-5 days, although the cough may take slightly longer. If it does not, the CRP (C-reactive protein) needs to be checked and compared with earlier values (if available) to see whether it is gradually coming down. If it is coming down, the fever would also come down eventually and there is no reason to worry.

is that that mean she still will have some mild fever even she already completed 2 days of antibiotic? should i worry? her temperature seem like hard to go down..but her cough i can feel getting better because she can almost sleep throughout all the night..
