Brief Answer:
Yes, the possibility of asthma is more likely.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your question on 'Ask A Doctor' forum.
I can understand your concern.
I have gone through the history you have given.

By your history and description, the possibility of asthma is more likely.
But better to consult pulmonologist and discuss your case.

You need a clinical examination of the respiratory system through a stethoscope, chest x-ray, and PFT (Pulmonary Function Test).

If PFT is showing obstructive defect with good bronchodilator reversibility then it is asthma confirmed.
In that case, you will need inhaled bronchodilators (formoterol or salmeterol) and inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) (budesonide or fluticasone).

Oral combination of anti-allergic (montelukast) and antihistamine (levocetirizine or fexofenadine) can also be useful.

It is happening frequently because it is not controlled. You need to control your asthma by Inhalers and oral tablet.

Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further.
Wish you good health.
Thanks

Better to get done PFT first.

Better to first get done PFT and diagnose whether you have asthma or not.
In some patients, asthma can develop or worse in later part of life.
