What Causes A Weak Urine Stream?
Questions so that I can advise:
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
To be able to provide information or advise about this problem, I'll need more information. Here are my questions:
1. When did this start - how many days has this been going on?
2. Any history of prostate problems?
3. Can you describe the weird sensation (pain? burning?) and at what point of urination you are feeling this weird sensation (when you feel you need to urinate, when you are urinating, or afterwards)?
4. Fever or flank pain or nausea?
5. Any history of urinary tract stones?
6. Are you drinking as much water as usual or might you be dehydrated for any reason?
7. Do you feel like there is urine accumulating in you from not being able to empty your bladder, or are you able to empty but it is taking longer because less is coming out at a time?
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Given the duration (6-8 months), that the stream is slow/weak and negative for other questions, the most common cause is an enlarged prostate.
The prostate can grow in size as men get older and as the urethra comes through it, it can restrict the force of the flow of urine.
Prostate issues can also possibly cause the funny sensation you are feeling with ejaculation, but for this symptom, it's hard to say as it is somewhat non-specific.
Some of my other questions were directed at the possibility of genitourinary tract infections, and stones. I think these are less likely but still slightly possible.
What I recommend doing at this point is to go in to see your doctor to have a digital rectal exam of the prostate, and then possible referral to a urologist if it seems the prostate is enlarged.
I also generally recommend a urinalysis just to make sure there isn't something else going on (infection, stones/gravel, kidney problems).
For milder forms of benign prostatic hypertrophy (enlargement), sometimes medication can help adequately.
It sounds as though yours may be on the milder side given that you think you are able to empty your bladder. For more severe cases, surgery is recommended.
I can't say for absolute sure that the problem is an enlarged prostate, but it is the most common cause of your symptoms.
Hope I have answered your query.
Take care
