Brief Answer:
Seems to be an allergic reaction, cortisone cream & antihistaminic

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

It could be an allergic reaction.
I would recommend you to apply cortisone cream on the affected areas twice daily and take antihistaminic like tablet cetrizine 10 mg once or twice daily depending on the intensity of itching for few days.
This should resolve it.

Dr. Asmeet

Have not taken anything to have a reaction to except for 2 cortisone shots. 1 in elbow 1 in shoulder.

Cortisone cream and calamine lotion

Then you may simply apply cortisone cream twice daily on the red areas along with an application of calamine lotion on the entire face 2-3 times in a day.
