Question: why is it so important to wait 6 weeks after having a baby vaginaly to resume sexual intercourse? Could it be dangerous?

Six weeks is an average number. There is nothing magical about it. Many women resume intercourse earlier. However if you had stitches that haven't healed entirely or if you're still having bloody discharge or cramping, It would be wise to wait until all that has resolved. If you're breast-feeding you might find that you are drier than usual. I would recommend over-the-counter water-based lubricant to make things more comfortable for you.
