Brief Answer:
It can easily be diagnosed

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

In order to find out if any food is left in your esophagus or trachea, I have a few questions: Do you cough or salivate? Can you drink water or eat food without regurgitation? If your discomfort continues, an endoscopy can aid in determining the location of the food item and retrieve it.

I hope this helps.

Thank you for answering my question doctor. would you recommend in your opinion a nasal irrigation? Would it be safe?

Brief Answer:
No need for that.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

There is no need for that. It sounds like it is stuck further down, possibly in your throat, and then nasal irrigation will not help. However, if you feel that is lodged in your nasal cavity, you can try it.

Best wishes.
