Question: I have an extremely itchy flat rash. It started near my decollete and has now begun to spread to my arms and back. I also have one red spot under my chin. I have not come in contact with any unusual topical or ingested products. I did get the first dose of the Shingrix vaccine two weeks ago.

Brief Answer:
Eczematous rash or photodermatitis

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

I have gone through your complaints and reviewed the attached photographs.
It seems to be either eczematous rash or photo dermatitis.
If I was your treating doctor I would recommend you to apply potent topical steroid like clobetasol propionate cream on the affected areas twice daily along with application of a broad spectrum sunscreen on the sun exposed sites during the duration time.
For itching take antihistaminic like tablet cetrizine 10 mg twice daily for few days.
Topical steroids are prescription drugs and you need to see the doctor in person to get them.
Besides this avoid direct sun exposure, avoid harsh soaps and keep your body moisturised.

Dr Asmeet
