Question: What are the differences between Wellbutrin and Bupropion? I have been reviewing online and find all kinds of negative reviews of Bupropion, but most are dates as far back as 2009. Could the discrepancies been resolved since then?

Brief Answer:
There is no difference between the two.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome to HCM.

There is no difference in the medicine content between Wellbutrin and bupropion.

Wellbutrin was the original research molecule. Later on, the generic bupropion came into market.

All the medicines are regulated and made under strict guidelines.
So, both Wellbutrin and a generic brand will contain the same amount of bupropion.

Different brands may use different excipients to make the tablets.
Sometimes individuals may feel difference in the results mainly because of different excipients used.

Hope this answers your query.
Thanks
