Detailed Answer:
Hi...

Welcome to "Ask a Doctor" service.
I am Dr Ajeet XXXXXXX

I have gone through your query and here is my opinion.

Corona is a new zoonotic which has spread from animals to humans.
Earlier,It used to spread from animal to animal but due to mutations,it started to spread from animals to humans and then humans to humans.
There used to be 6 known variants of it and the present is seventh strain which was unknown prior to late 2019.

A corona is an aura of plasma that surrounds the Sun.
The virus has been named so due to it's spiky, corona like appearance,on electron microscopy.

It is highly contagious with high infection (though low fatality) rates.
It spreads as droplet infection through aerosols.

If someone is exposed to Corona,he may or may not get the disease.
This depends on the degree of exposure and the indigenous immunity levels.
That is why,the people with extremes of ages (children and elderly),immune
compromised patients, people on chemotherapy and who had kidney transplant are more vulnerable.
All exposed ,should self quarantine themselves.
If someone is exposed to it ,he/she will be contagious to the community for next 14 days because Incubation period of this disease is from 2 to 14 days.

Viral PCR test is done to detect this disease.

No treatment or vaccination is known for this disease and prevention is only cure.

We should wash our hands regularly (for 20 secs) with soap and water, use alcohol based sanitizer,do social distancing, avoid crowded places and use tissue or our elbows while sneezing or coughing.

The global Corona situation still continues to evolve but it has emerged as one of the greatest challenge for the health and existence of Mankind.
WHO has declared it as a pandemic and over 20,000 people have died because of it.

Hope that I have answered your Query.

Stay healthy and stay blessed.
Regards.
