What Does This Ultrasound Report Indicate?
Question: Hi I recently got ultrasound for lower abdomen and the report states uterus is bulky in size and globoid in shape and it shows heterogenous echotexture. There is presence of three fibroids. I have been recommended Novex Ds for the period of 2 months and I'm 43 year old. Please suggest should I go for the medicine.
Brief Answer:
Fibroid removal surgery only if problematic
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I understand your concerns about fibroid.
Novex DS is not going to cure fibroid permanently.
If these fibroids are not causing any symptoms like pain abdomen or bleeding per vagina, there is nothing to worry.
Only if fibroids are causing any problems or you are looking for pregnancy, you need to get them removed by laparoscopy surgery.
If no problems leave them alone.
Let me know if you need any more clarification.

I have attached the ultrasound report as in the report it is mentioned uterus is bulky in size and globoid in shape. There is presence of cyst as well in left ovary (3.3*3,1*3,4cm-18,5cc sized). And I have experienced pain during periods in my left lower abdomen.
Brief Answer:
Cyst is likely to disappear
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I have seen the report attached. This cyst is generally not harmful. This is likely to disappear by itself.
Repeat ultrasound Scan after a month to check if cyst has disappeared.
If you have excessive pain you can opt for laparoscopy removal of fibroid and cyst.
Let me know if you need any more clarification.
