Brief Answer:
Hemangioma is a benign finding but requires confirmation with CT scan

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXX,
Thanks for writing in to us.

I have read through your query in detail.
It is understood that you have been feeling bloated recently with upper abdominal discomfort for which you got an ultrasound scan abdomen done.

The findings are mentioned by you indicate a mildly fatty liver and a 2.6 cm area in the right lobe of liver which is probably a benign lesion. A hemangioma is a common harmless benign finding in many people. It is a clump of blood vessels which might have been there for months to years before you got to know about it. A diagnosis of liver hemangioma requires it to be confirmed by doing additional CT scan imaging with contrast studies. There is no concern after confirmation of a liver hemangioma and please do not worry.

As it is 2.6 cm, the size is still small and undergoing ultrasound scans at 6 months and at 12 months after the initial diagnosis will further confirm the benign nature of your hemangioma.

Hope this answers your question. Please feel free to correct any oversight in my interpretation of your problems and discuss them in detail as per your requirements.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

Regards,
Dr.Vivek

Brief Answer:
Consult doctor to rule out abdominal infections and restrict fatty foods

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXX,
Thanks for writing in to us.

The gall bladder wall thickening and pericholecystic fluid collection can be due to mild infection in the abdomen. You should consult your doctors and get tested for any possible infections causing your symptoms and take complete treatment.

If you do not have pain then please do not worry, however you should restrict intake of foods that are spicy and high in oil content. Please avoid fatty foods.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

Brief Answer:
If liver function blood tests are normal then wine is not your biggest prob

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXX,
Thanks for writing back with an update.

Wine contains a low concentration of alcohol. If your liver function tests using blood sample is within normal range then it should not be a concern. If the liver enzymes are increased then wine intake has to be regulated.
