Question: Hi, This is XXXX, my son and daughter (Twins) was born in 8th month (05-04-2016). After 2 months, we observed that my sons head was become large. We identified and took to a doctor. They took MRI scan and told that lateral and 3 rd ventricles dilated, and Acqiductal stenosis and also confirmed the presence of funfal infection in the CSF. For this they have done 3rd ventriculostomy and continued antifungals for a period of 2 months and got fungal infection negative in the later CSF diagnosis. After 10days of IV fluids antifungals stoppage, we noticed that his head is increasing again and gone for MRI scan. Now they are saying that the presence of 2 Porencephalic cysts which in the size of 5.2 cms and 3.0 cms . For this doctors are suggesting us to go for shunt placement. Dear doctors please suggest me if there is any alternative to this and the availability of best treatment either in allopathy/Homeopathy/Ayurvedha. Looking for your support.

Brief Answer:
You are been correctly guided - please go ahead with the treatment

Detailed Answer:
Hi.... I understand your concern. Please go ahead with management suggested by your current doctor. I feel that they are guiding you correctly in your son's condition. The best way to decrease raised pressure in the intracranial compartment and to avoid future complications is to go ahead by the placement of the shunt as suggested by the doctors there.
