Question: On my mri report
C5/6 reduced intervertebral disc height with anterior spondylosis and disc desiccation . A large, broad posterior disc and uncovertebral joint osteophyte is noted, more prominent on the left. The disc osteophyte complex indents the ventral thecal sac and does result in a mild canal stenosis with partial efface ment of CSF from within the theca . Whilst there is ventral indentation on the cord signal . The disc osteophyte complex does however result in a severe left and a moderate right foraminal stenosis. The left c6 nerve root in particular appears significantly compressed, but the right c6 nerve root does appear to exit without significant neural compression.
I have a lot of nerve pain across my shoulders and base of neck and a lot of pain in right shoulder and numbness in right arm I'm 49 years old female in excellent health except for my neck had a fall at school when I was 11 this started really play up about 7 years ago.

Brief Answer:
Chances of improvement are great with medicine

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for posting
I have gone through your query and understand your concern. Going by the MRI report you should have severe pain, numbness and tingling sensation in left upper limb, but you are having symptoms in right upper limb. This is contradictory.
To help you better please tell me-
1.Do you smoke and have any chronic disease like diabetes?
2.How is the grip power in both upper limb?
There are fair chances of improvement with-
Drug pregablin, ibuprofen along with muscle relaxant drug thiocolchicoside.
Looking forward to your reply.
Take care
