What Does This CT Scan Report Of Chest Indicate?

Question: I am having shortness of breath and fell like i can't breath..I have a ct of my chest and this is what it said: No evidence of pulmonary embolus, there is a mild linear scaring versus ateectasis in the right middle lobe..what does this mean..do I have cancer? Will I suffocate?

No need to worry for this CT scan report.
Atelectesis is partial collapse of part of lung
It is common after lower respiratory tract infection. It is mostly due to retained secretions. So at present you need mucolytic, expectorant and antioxidants drugs. Scarring suggest previous lung infection.
Also get done PFT (Pulmonary Function Test) for the diagnosis of bronchitis.
You may need addition inhaled bronchodilators and antibiotic drugs.
So possibility of cancer is very very rare in your case.

Thank you for your help..I haven't had any respitory infection lately..What is a good medication that comes over the counter for this..??

You can take ventorlin or asthalin inhaler. I don't know if they are available over the counter in your place. But you will find them easily. Some countries require prescription for them.
