Brief Answer:
There are 3 small metallic foreign body fragments within the right cheek

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX,
Thanks for writing in to us.

I have read through your query in detail.
My observations are the following.

1. Maxillofacial CT scan has been done with contrast. This is a CT scan of the face.

2. There are 3 separate ?hyperdensities (hypodensities as given in report is probably a typing error as all metallic densities are hyperdensities) and each of them is 3 mm in diameter on the right side of face below the skin.

3. Subcutaneous edema is present along the right side of face. This is swelling in the tissues below the skin as a result of injury.

4. The central wall separating the nostrils is slightly curved to the right side and is most likely present since birth.

5. The visualized brain and eyes are normal.

In conclusion, there are 3 metallic fragments measuring 3 mm each on right side of face within the soft tissues below the skin and associated swelling.

They need to be taken out by your maxillofacial surgeon.

Hope this answers your question. Please feel free to correct any oversight in my interpretation of your problems and discuss them in detail as per your requirements.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

Regards,
Dr.Vivek
