What Does The Following ECG Report Indicate?

default
Posted on Wed, 19 Apr 2017
Question: Hello doctor,

Hope you are doing well.

I wanted to follow up with you on my single ventricle condition.I got 2d echo and ECG done yesterday and the cardiologist confirmed everything is normal for my condition. ECG had shown Rt Ventricular Hypertrophy, my question is when I do not have Rt ventricle, why did the ECG show that? (Although the doctor did not pay much attention to the ECG report.)

Another question is, will taking high anti-oxidant foods help in my heart health? How would this benefit me?
I have researched that goji berries (Lycii fructus) have rich anti-oxidants, however people taking blood thinners should avoid these fruits. Is this true? as I take Ecosprine, should I avoid eating goji berries? What are the other alternatives for rich anti-oxidants and in what quantities should I consume them per day?

Brief Answer:
Yes you can take berries.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for asking query from me.
As per your query,
EKG is a base line test of cardiology and finding right ventricular hypertrophy on basis of ecg is something seen rarely in this era when most of the diagnosis is investigation based.
In your case ecg in particular bears no value.Test meant for you is 2d echo.If echo is normal you are fine.

Answer 2-"Excess of anything is good for nothing".
Take normal food.
Try to understand the scenario.See pathologically you are abnormal but physiologically you are normal. So why would you take high levels of antioxidants.Just follow a normal simple diet and take a anxi-oxidant capsule daily.

Goji berries etc are all natural food. Most of the vegetable and fruits like apple, pear, plum, oranges, broccli etc(available in XXXXXXX local markets)contains a number of minerals vitamins and anti oxidant,And i don't think in any way are they inferior to berries you are talking about.
You can take every natural fruit and vegetable.Ecosprin-75 is a baby dose and will not interact with fruit or food.

Take my advice.Don't go for high-figh stuff.Take one cup fruit 200 gram daily(organic) available in your local market.
Include a green vegetable in your lunch and dinner (one cup) daily. This will provide you with more then enough anti oxidants required at your age.

Don't google too much and in case you can't stop yourself from googling then read matter on certified sites like NCBI.
