Brief Answer:
Prolonged P wave, rest is mostly normal, but better to consult cardiologist

Detailed Answer:
Hello Mrs XXXXXXX

Thank you for posting your question here.

I have gone through the query, however, these numbers themselves do not provide adequate information, ideally we would need to look at the ECG tracing to identify any abnormality, that said, from the available information, I can confirm that your husband has some minor abnormalities in the ECG.

1. P wave (which reflects the electrical activity of the right atrium) is longer than normal. This means that your husband has a larger than normal (probably thicker) musculature in the right atrium.

2. Other numbers mentioned are very close to being normal, for example qrs duration is slightly short.

The R wave amplitudes are withing normal limits.

Except for the P wave duration, it appears to be quite a normal ECG but there are many other parameters that need to be looked at in an ECG to understand the actual condition.

So I suggest you to kindly consult a cardiologist with the ECG for better understand what is going on.

I hope this answers your question.

Best regards

What is the reason for larger than normal (probably thicker) musculature in the right atrium? Please let me know.

Brief Answer:
The reason usually would be increased pressure in the right ventricle.

Detailed Answer:
Hello again Mrs XXXXXXX

Thank you for following up.

The common reasons for right atrial enlargement are increased pressure in right ventricle or pulmonary hypertension, and narrowing of the right atrioventricular valve (tricuspid valve), or a small hole between the right and left atria, that usually closes after birth but can remain open in 20% people.

Or it could be enlarged from birth itself without any apparent cause or without causing any problem.

It is best to consult a cardiologist with the ECG and also request an echocardiography to better understand the problem if there is one.

Warm regards

Hello Sir
We got a TMT test done. The doctor says it is mildly positive for LHD.He has prescribed Ecosprin 75 and Monoprolol succinate 50 Extended release.
The TMT was done after my husband returned from the office and was already tired. Can that affect the TMT result? Is the medication ok?Should we go over for a 2d echo test. Please help me as in XXXXXXX we do not have doctors who like to discuss the ailment.

Brief Answer:
Office work not related to positive TMT, go for 2D echo.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear Mrs XXXXXXX

Thank you for following up with me and sharing more information.

Tiredness after a long day at office does not affect TMT results, however, I would like to know the reason for doing TMT and ECG.

Medication is fine.

Yes you should get a 2D echo done to check if there anything wrong, mildly positive IHD is not a serious issue though.

And, yes indeed I will do my best to help you and I will answer all your questions and guide you accordingly, do not worry about that at all.

Since you wish to continue consulting with me, I would like to request you to upload all the reports till date, and also please explain to me in detail what happened and why your husband was asked to get ECG and TMT done.

Do mention if your husband has diabetes, or high blood pressure, and if his mom and dad suffer from diabetes or high blood pressure, and did any of them ever suffer from heart diseases or strokes or any other health issue.

What does your husband do?

What are your dietary habits?

Please do not forget to upload the ECG, TMT and any other test reports with this query, that will help me understand what is going on.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Take care.
