Brief Answer:
Changes suggested

Detailed Answer:
Hi
I am Dr Mittal
I have read your query and I think I will be able to make a useful suggestion to you.

This is what is known as Gestational Diabetes. This is a common occurrence nowadays during pregnancy. And usually resolves as soon as the pregnancy ends. Of course 40% people who develop gestational diabetes, develop diabetes in later life. So an annual check up would be a good option.

Now, I would suggest that you stop exercises. However, I would not suggest you to stop the supplements. Merely change them to the options that are non sugar containing- the market is flooded with such preparations eg glucerna SR, or any other brand that your local doctor suggests can be used.

As for the tablet, I am not convinced with metformin, its one of the first used drug in diabetes. But the first used drug in gestational diabetes should be insulin, and if you are unwilling for insulin, then glyburide. You might as well discuss this with your local diabetician.

Of course regular exercise will help you achieve a better sugar control. But dont overdo it in view of your pregnancy.

I am forwarding a related article to you. It should help you understand the treatment option better. http://www.obgmanagement.com/fileadmin/obg_archive/pdf/1508/1508OBGM_Article1.pdf
