Brief Answer:

Could be polyarthritis or arthralgia associated with fever.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

This kind of multiple joint pain, of sudden origin, are hard to explain except if you have a fever. Otherwise, if you have sudden onset joint pain, which disappears, could be a sign of polyarthritis.

I would suggest you get the following tests: Complete blood count, Rheumatoid factor, anti-CCP antibodies, ASO, CRP, and ANA just to rule out common arthritic problems.

For soreness in the shoulders, you can take any pain killer which suits you.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Brief Answer:

fever may be the cause.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

As I had said earlier, fever is generally the cause of this type of pain. So I would presume in your case also, fever is the cause.

Just take acetaminophen and no test for now. If the problem keeps repeating, then we may go for tests.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
