In the CT scan of your lungs is found a very small nodul called granuloma.
This is a benign finding and it is very common.
Granulomas are nodules that from in the lung tissue as a result of inflammation.
Most commonly is formed due to an infection of the lung that might be a bacterial one or fungal.
During the infection ,the immune system react in a specific form by surrounding the pathogen with inflammatory cells ,which leads to the formation of granuloma.Over time ,this nodul get calcified and can be found incidentally in X-rays or CT scans done for other reasons.
Small pulmonary nodules ,less then 5 mm are very common finding in CT scan.
Regardless the cause of the granuloma,they are benign findings,don't cause any sign or symptoms and do not require treatment.
Your nodule is very very small (2 mm) and is not of concern.
If this was the only finding on CT scan ,means that CT scan was normal.
