What Does My CAT Scan Report Indicate?

Question: Just got my results back from a CAT scan after I feel in the bathroom off the toliet and had two bumps for over 2 weeks that hurt and I am still dizzy especially when I bend or look quickly.. THe report said I have Prominence cerebral cortical sulci but with no hydrocephalus noted.. it said I have a concussion and also White periventricular matter and changes are seen.. What does all this mean please doctor.. Thank you XXXXXXX

I understand your concerns.You CAT scan says"Prominent cerebral cortical sulci but with no hydrocephalus noted" , means your brain has atrophied ,shrunk in size with no fluid build up.

Concussion means a brain injury which happens generally after any kind of trauma producing symptoms such as headache,problems with concentration, memory, balance and coordination.

White periventricular matter and changes in it are related to age,small strokes etc.This is mostly related to a "Wear and tear" phenomenon which increases according to age.
