What Does Black Streaks In Mucus Indicate?

Question: I don't smoke and sometimes when I have mucas come Up there is some thin black strans. This has been happening since I was little I always thought it was dirt bc when I blow my nose sometimes the same things happens. Should I be concerned, I'm 21 and this has been going on for years.

In my opinion, black streaks in the mucous can be because of fungal infection. Nasal smear study and CT SCANNING is advised.

It can be treated with antihistamines + mucolytics combination drugs. Antifungal drugs are given depending on the severity of the disease.
