What Does "bilateral Vascular Prominence" In Chest X-ray Report Suggest?

Question: I have bilateral vascular prominence in chest X-ray.But the CT scan showed no abnormalities.I was treated for Tubercular pleural effusion 3 yrs back.Now what might this be?

Hello

Increased broncho-vascular makings may be due to infection,inflammation,age related etc.
It is not a serious finding and findings are often reversible with treatment of underlying cause.

Since CT scan is normal,there is nothing to be worried about.
CT scan is more sensitive in detecting prominent broncho-vascular makings and other findings as compared to X-rays,so don't worry at all.You are fine.

Besides proper clinical examination,you may need further tests like widal test,malaria parasite test(MP test),urine RE/Me,ultrasound of abdomen,blood culture etc.
