Posted on Thu, 24 Jul 2014
Question: I have a slightly raised red bump on my inner thigh close to my scrotum that looks like a pimple due to sweating below. I just want to make sure it isn't a wart. It doesn't itch or causes any pain. Just noticed it this morning. Thanks!

Brief Answer:
This is not an viral wart

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome to Healthcare Magic,

I have gone through your history and the pictures uploaded and understand to your concern. The history and the pics are evident that it is not an wart.

These type of lesions are common in these region and it may be due to scratching, rubbing, friction and fungal infection(because of sweating). These are common lesions with out any serious complications.

I would suggest you to keep the area clean and dry, it will subside by itself, if there is any associated itching you can apply anti fungal cream over the lesion.

Thank you.

Thanks so much for your prompt response. I've looked at it pretty closely myself and it appears to be a white head or something in the middle of it but the location of it kinda makes its hard to see.

Nothing to worry

Detailed Answer:
Welcome back to HCM,
Thank you for the query,

Don't worry about the lesion it will subside in due course of time without causing any complications. The stasis of the sweat in this area is on of the most common reason.

I hope it will subside soon.
Thank you.
