What Does A Lump Near Liver Area Indiacte?

default
Posted on Sat, 19 Jul 2014
Question: I can feel a lump or bump in my liver area. I don't feel any pain but it is concerning. I place to make an appointment to see my care provider. I do not drive, I am hypertensive and take medication to control my blood pressure. I am 59 years old and exercise a least 3 times a week. To my knowledge no one in family has liver problems. What might it be?

Dear XXXXXXX

Greetings from health care magic!!! I am Dr Thakker and shall be answering your question.

I have been through your clinical history. The following are the possibilities:

Gall bladder swelling, cholecystitis

Lipoma

Enlarged liver due to infection or malignancy

Soft tissue hematoma

Hydatid cyst of the liver

Benign cyst of the liver

Adenoma of the liver.

I would recommend you to have an ultrasound of the abdomen as the next step to know the exact origin

I hope this helps you out. If you have any more questions, please do not hesitate to write back to me.

Yours sincerely,
Dr Thakker.
