Brief Answer:

Suggestions on fetal abdominal cyst

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

I have 13 years of experience in the field of Health Care at a tertiary care referral hospital in XXXXXXX XXXXXXX I will do my level best to alleviate your health concern.

From this, I understand that there's a cyst in the lower abdomen, but as of now, there's no pressure effect which has been mentioned in the report. So as of now, you need not to worry.

As we do not know what the exact cyst origin is, and that too it's nearing the expected delivery date. Keeping these things in mind, I suggest that we wait till delivery.

Once the baby is born, we can do Not ultrasound on day 1 itself and then plan further.

My only suggestion is that, right now, please be in contact with your wife's obstetrician and make sure she doesn't have any problems in conducting delivery.

Sometimes in such scenario, they may prefer to go ahead with caesarean delivery.

I suggest that you have a Pediatrician on hand while delivery is being conducted.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Thank you for your detailed answer. Should we wait for the term to complete and for the natural labour to start or as soon as the date is complete rush for caeserean? We want a normal delivery and want to avoid caeserean.

Brief Answer:

That can be decided by the obstetrician

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

This has to be decided by the obstetrician after doing the physical examination and scans on your wife at the term under hospitalization. As a pediatrician, I should not be recommended.

Hope I have answered your query.

Take care
