Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain and the image attached there is a white patch on the mucosa of the inner lip and looks probably like Leukoplakia..

But before I can guide you further I would like to know a few details..

1.Do you have tobacco chewing or smoking habit..
2.Since how long is the patch present?
3.Do you have similar patches in any other area of mouth?
4. Do you have burning sensation in the area of patch only or inside whole of mouth?
5.Since how long you are taking medication?

Please revert back with answers..
Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.

Brief Answer:
Leukoplakia, cessation of tobacco habit and continue medication,

Detailed Answer:
Hi..
Welcome back..

As per your answers it seems that you have Leukoplakia that occurs due to over production of Keratin but there is also disturbance in cells known as cell dysplasia..

It is commonly seen in tobacco chewers and although you have noticed it now, it might been present since more than 15 days..

The first thing that you need to know is that you should not chew tobacco anymore as it will not let the patches to heal and will keep progressing and can even transform into cancer..

You should consult an Oral Physician or an Oral Surgeon and get evaluated and you can be advised multivitamin tablet and along with it SM Fibro can be continued as it contains anti-oxidant Lycopene..
It should be continued for atleast 2 to 3 months with regular follow up..

But stopping tobacco in all forms is a must..

Any further queries are welcome..

Regards.

Thank you Doctor, very much. One more question please...
Is it necessary for Biopsy right now? It is not increasing as local doctor said.

I am planning to continue with SM Fibro for another 2/3 months. Your view please.

Brief Answer:
Wait for 2 months, with regular follow up..

Detailed Answer:
Hi..
Welcome back..

As per your query as the patches are not progressing right now, you should continue with the medication and along with it you should completely stop taking tobacco..

Follow up after every 15 days..

The patches will gradually reduce in size but if only you stop taking tobacco..

If there is any progress in size then a biopsy is a must..

Any further queries are welcome..

Regards.
