Question: I had a camera pill study on July 7th and I just found out it’s still stuck in me. It’s in my colon. I don’t want surgery since I am a high risk with pulmonary arterial hypertension and warfarin patient. The endoscopy and colonoscopy were done in the operating room. What are some alternatives to surgery to get the camera out?

Brief Answer:
Colonoscopic extraction otherwise surgery is the only option.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for choosing HealthcareMagic for your query.
Have gone through your details and i appreciate your concerns.
Surgery is not the initial option.
Initially as the location of impaction is in colon you should go for a planned colonoscopy and if capsule is not impacted inside colon it could be extracted through colonoscope. However if there is severe impaction of capsule then only option available is surgical extraction of capsule.

You have written that colonoscopy has already been done?
Why was it done?
To try for extraction of capsule? In case if colonoscopy was done for capsular extraction then surgical procedure is the only way left.

Please feel free to follow up.
Thanks and regards!
