Question: I've been facing following problem in my throat since last 3 years-Feeling of wound inside the throat exactly at the place where we usually have cough.whenever I move the throat in swallowing manner,I feel pain there.I got Allopathic,Ayurvedic,Homeopathic ,all type of treatment for this problem, but could not be cured perfectly.finally I got the ENDOSCOPY of my throat. It discloses that PYRIFORM FOSSA has become red and congested due to continuous acidity (GERD)&allergic conditionsBut I don't feel normal symptoms of GERD like heart burning etc. instead I feel heaviness in the chest and belches involving taste of just eaten food..Consulted ENT gave me 2-3 months treatment but the problem doesn't improve fully.I am highly disappointed, please help me doctor..

Brief Answer:
This may help

Detailed Answer:
Seen the reports and photos.
My advise would be:
GERD
I would advise the following in such a patient:
Zantac 12 hourly and/ PPI like Omeprazole
Pepcid every 3 to 4 hours when on empty stomach.
Add Domperidone or such motility regulators. (needs a prescription)
Soft bland diet.
No aerated colas / soda/ drinks.
Early dinner. No late nights.
Treatment for anxiety (as prescribed / needs a prescription by your Doctor)
Lying in a reclining position
Walk around after dinner.
Think of the factors which increased the present problem, GERD, anxiety and avoid all such factor strictly.
No smoking/drinking, if you are doing.
It is also observed that there are so many other things like incense sticks - that is agarbatti, dhoopbatti, scents, scented things of any sort, Deodorants and such factors do not allow one to get alright- your observation will help you to find out all such factors which should be avoided at any cost.
If no relief, get Upper GI endoscopy done and get prescription for added Medicines.

This helps all my patients and should help you hopefully.
