Brief Answer:
Yes,it could be upper respiratory infection symptoms.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to health care magic,

Yes,vertigo or tinnitus or red cheek/forehead could be the symptoms of upper respiratory tract like sinusitis.

The upper respiratory tract includes the sinuses, nasal passages, pharynx, and larynx.

An upper respiratory tract infection is an infection of the components of the upper airway.

These may include,(for your information only)

rhinitis (inflammation of the nasal cavity),
sinus infection (sinusitis)
inflammation of the nares, pharynx, hypopharynx, uvula, and tonsils, pharyngitis (inflammation of the pharynx, uvula, and tonsils),
epiglottitis (inflammation of the upper portion of the larynx or the epiglottis), laryngitis (inflammation of the larynx),
laryngotracheitis (inflammation of the larynx and the trachea), and
tracheitis (inflammation of the trachea).

Hope this will clear your doubt.

I completed a course of antibiotics on Tuesday the 28th for the infection. The vertigo etc only started 3 days ago. Do I go back to the doc or is there something I can do at home?

Vertigo could be due to variety of causes or could be transient.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for immediate follow-up.

Vertigo could be due to variety of causes or it could be transient.

Do you have any other symptoms with this vertigo?

Perhaps if it is not troubling your day to day work, then you may wait for few days. Until then you may take proper hydration and electrolyte balance with some symptomatic antihistamines treatment like betahistidine or Stugeron Forte (Cinnarizine 25) which is available over the counter.
Do not need to worry.

However if the problem is persistent, you should see your treating doctor at the earliest and get evaluated further.

Hope this will help you.
