Question: Hi Drs. why do women seem to get a period during early pregnancy? up until 3 months is this common ?

Hi

The bleeding or spotting seen in early pregnancy is not periods.

As soon as pregnancy happens the periods stop totally.

If at all there is bleeding or spotting in first 3 months it is because of threatened abortion. The baby might abort if bleeding is excessive.
