What Causes Upset Stomach After Having Ceftum?

Question: I have taken 3 tablets of ceftum 500 and have got an upset stomach. The full course is 10 tablets. Can i discontinue the medicine? Thanks I have got a procedure done on my face .

Continue antibiotics under Gastric protection.

Hi Mam.

I understand your concern.

You are not supposed to discontinue the antibiotic at the initial distress.

Continue taking the antibiotics with gastric protection provided with Tab Pantop 40 once day and Tab Domstal 10 mg twice a day both before meal.

You can discontinue when you have completed at least 6 tabs or if the symptoms/gastric upset is severe.

Doctor i am already taking 2 tab Pan o everyday before meals. And one supradyn. Please help

Observe for 24 hours.

Hi Mam,

Welcome again,

Also add Tab.Domperidone before food 3times a day for one day along with Pantop and Ceftum and observe.

If still symptoms persist or reappear after 24 hours change of antibiotic is indicated.

So let's stick to this regimen for 24 hours.
