Brief Answer:
Probably Pneumonia,consult your doctor

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Welcome in HCM.

I have gone through your concern and i will give you some informattions regarding your situation.

According to your symptoms that you have (breathlessness, cough with greenish-yellow sputum) i would not recommend to you any medication prior doing some examinations as follows:

Hemogram
CRP
Chest X Ray
Sputum culture for microorganisms
Antibiogram
EKG
ABG

If the above tests are negative you should do a:

Spirometry test

In my opinion based in your complains it might be an infection of the lung tissue (pneumonia).
So better to see your doctor who for sure will advice you to do the above tests and after having the results will prescribe you antibiotics, mucolitics, symptomatics and probably inhalers to relive your breathing.

You will feel better in a short period after beginning the proper treatment.

Feel free to ask me again

Best wishes

Dr.Jolanda

HI. Six weeks ago I was dx. with sinusitis even though I had no pain, just some drainage. The doc put me on a rampage of antibiotics as I was also coughing up yellow thick phlegm. Nothing has worked. I'm not in pain but the coughing keeps me up all night and so does the n ose blowing. You think maybe I contacted some alien bug?
What should I say to my doc, the next time I see him [which will be soon because even double dose's of zenhale has not helped.
What is your opinion?.
A little afraid of CA as it runs in my family, no allergies that I know of, and the cough is scaring the hell out of me as the color hasn't changed.

I have a chronic cold problem. It starts with a continuous running nose the frst day. The second day have a slight fewer, with the nasal discharge getting thicker. The third day fewer continues with nasal discharge getting yellow and also coughing out sputum of yellow colour. I have to take antibiotics such as Arithomycin alongwith expectorant. However the fewer goes, but the coughing of sputum continues for a week.
