What Causes Stinging Sensation On Leg From Knees To Ankle?

default
Posted on Wed, 1 Apr 2015
Question: I have stinging, prickly feeling down the out side of my left leg from my knee to my ankle.. It is annoying and disturbing when I lie down. It does not seem as bad when I am standing or walking. I've had it for some time, but it would disappear. Now its gotten worse and is not going away. What could be the problem?

Brief Answer:
compression of nerve root in lower spine.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your query.

It could be due to compression of nerve root in lower spine. Get an xray/ MRI of lower spine done to diagnose your condition. I suggest you to get it examined by your orthopadician for proper management.

Hope this helps you

Warm regards.
