Question: Hello Doctor,
I am a having slight pain in my lower back, left side. I get this pain while trying to get up or lift anything after I sit for a longer period of time like 1/2 an hour or more. The kind of work I do requires sitting on chair full time. Could you please let me know how to avoid this?
Thanks,

Brief Answer:
Back muscle exercise and nsaid medication and local warmth advisable

Detailed Answer:
Dear patient,

this is very likely ischiadic nerve affection due to a lot of sitting (weak back muscle). You can make this better by doing exercises for lower back like physical therapy, swimming or joga (just examples). Also some nsaid medication like ibuprofen and local warmth application can be of great help. If this doesn't improve i'd usually recommend x ray or mri to rule out underlying conditions like slipped disc.

Hope this is helping you , if you have any clarificatons you can get back to me, if this was helpful please kindly rate my answer. Best regards

I had similar pain about 3 yrs back and a Doctor here in XXXXXXX had prescribed the medicines: Tab Mobiswift-D and Tab Meconeuron 500 mg along with Tab Repepsa.
Should I repeat this medication again now as it looks like the same symptoms?
Thanks,
