What Causes Redness Of Skin Above Eyelids?

default
Posted on Mon, 29 Dec 2014
Question: What's the best treatment for redness on the skin above my eyelids? I've had this for a long time and I can't get rid of the problem. I noticed those specific skin areas are extremely sensitive to soap/cleaners and warm water. I can't wash my face with cold water! Please give me a solution.

Brief Answer:
Hydrocortizone cream for short period of time.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Welcome to Healthcare Magic.

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

You seem to have a chronic inflammation of the skin around your eyes.
Since all these creams you have tried haven't worked ,you may try a mild steroid cream like Hydrocortizone 1% that is available over the counter.
You should apply small quantities twice a day for some days-to one week.
You should not use this cream for a long time because it can cause some side effects on the skin.

If the inflammation is not improved or it appears again after stopping the cream you should consult a dermatologist because this rash needs a long term management and Steroid cream can be used only for short periods of time to be safe.

Hope it helps.
Let me know if you have any other question or doubts to clarify.I will be happy to assist you further.

Kind regards,
