Brief Answer: urine culture, local hygiene. Detailed Answer: Hello mam, in my opinion it is due to subclinical infection in your genital area which eventually causes recurrent UTI and this burning sensation in and around vagina. You should get a vaginal swab culture done. At the same time keep this area dry and clean by frequent changing of undergarments and avoid tight clothing to maintain air circulation. Wash your genitals with ample amount of water at the time of bath and definitely avoid masturbation. Take Care and wish you best of health.

Hi doctor Thankyou for your reply. I would like to add up some information I have had the problem of UTI since my childhood. But it vanished into thin air when i was 13 years old. The same problem happened again when I was 18 years and since then it has been recurring every year. But in the last one year it was recurring every month. I have shown to several doctors . Nobody was able to find the root cause. Every time this happens a different bacteria is being detected. The bacteria which have been detected are 1.Klebseial pneumoniae 2.Enterococcus Faecalis 3.Pseudomonas aeruginosa They have been detcted in a span of 6 months. Although Whenever I get a UTI the problems lasts for 2 days mostly. When I drink plenty of water,it subsides by its own. How i feel during that time is urinary incontinence, and painful urination. I have been treated for a weak atleast everytime I get a UTI. But earlier also this UTI starts as a burning sensation and then the incontinence starts. I have done several test including urine routine and culture, complete blood count and ultrasound scan. Nothing was found abnormal .By scanning the only thing found a little abnormal was I have a 1 litre capacity bladder whereas the doctor said normally its of 500 ml in a healthy person. I have been drink more than 3 litres of water for 2 years now. Hence its definitely not related to not drinking water. Then another mistake which I did was masturbating by holding the pee n i curse myself for doing that. and thats the only way I masturbation Now I have stopped it also. I havent been sexually active till this point. My area in and around vagina has been burning for a month now. Now I dont have any urinary inctonence or painful urination. Only the burning persists. I am some one who keeps myself very clean. I wash that part everyday with very hotwater. At times I have noticed that some slimy water is there. one week before I had given sample for urine culture,The test was negative. My sugar level is also normal. Sometimes I also get a pain which would start just down from my navel and goes till the vaginal or urethral part as if a string is pull down. I get this pain only once or twice in a year. But in last two weeks it happened twice. I have provided as much information as I can Please assist. Along with that I would like to know, did all this happened because I masturbated? Is it such a terrible thing? Althought there are plenty of ppl who drink less than 1 litre of water and still healthy. I cant stop drinking water. If i dont drink water for 2 hours,it would start burning down. What could be the cause for this? Please provide an update soon doctor

Brief Answer: consult a urologist Detailed Answer: Hi dear, I appreciate the elaborative reply which makes me clear that this problem is not hygiene related. After studying your history in my opinion your problem is related to stasis of urine due to the increased bladder capacity you just mentioned which eventually gets colonized by bacteria time and again and lead to agony. You need to visit a urologist who will examine you thoroughly and may like to do urodynamic study to analyze all aspects of urination and bladder characteristics. Reading the duration of your problem and the way it is affecting the quality of your life I think just treating the symptoms without delineating the cause won't help. Wish you the best of health and hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help

Thankyou doctor. Could u please tell me whether the masturbation by holding the pee caused this burning sensation in vagina. There is no white dicharge or upleasant odor. A gynecologist had examined me and she said there is no local infection also. Its not going at all,It persists. It has been a month now.

Brief Answer: donot masturbate but visit gynecologist. Detailed Answer: Hello dear, It is not due to the masturbation act per se but due to altered anatomy (increased bladder capacity) you get predisposed to UTI more and more if in case you continue to masturbate that way. Try not to do that and also avoid holding urine for long intervals. And definitely visit a urologist to know the exact cause behind this problem. Take care and may God bless you.
