What Causes Rapid Heart Beat And Extreme Dizziness While On Terazosin?

default
Posted on Mon, 1 Aug 2016
Question: I had very rapid heartbeat for an hour this morning before getting up. That stopped, but was followed by extreme dizziness, which is still present, but milder many hours later. Also, last night I took 10 mg Terazosin. I had been taking Terazsin for several months, but not for the last month. Is this normal? Thank you.

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you for asking!
I read your query and understood your concerns.

What you are reporting is a side effect of Terazosin use especially iregular fast beats and dizziness.

Since you have stopped taking it for the last month and you have restarted it recently I recommend to use a smaller dose and to increase gradually to avoid the side effects.

Hope this will be of help!
Wish you health!
