default
Posted on Thu, 12 Oct 2017
Question: I am taking Flomax but it is causing ED & not being able to have an orgasm with someone. Is there an alternative medication that would not have the same effect?
Thanks

Brief Answer:
Alternatives available.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have gone carefully through your query and understand your concerns. Flomax (tamsulosin) is used to improve urination in men with benign prostatic hyperplasia. Doctors also prescribe four other drugs in this class to treat the symptoms of BPH:
alfuzosin (Uroxatral)
doxazosin (Cardura)
silodosin (Rapaflo)
terazosin (Hytrin)

You can ask your doctor to prescribe any of these and hopefully the mentioned side effect would subside.

Let me know if I could help further.

Regards
