Question: I have a pain in my ankle going all the way up to my lower back that comes and goes in repect to the position I am sitting or standing.I've had it off and on for about 5 days

The pain in the ankle all the way upto the lower back can be related to degenerative changes in the lower back or a mild disc prolapse.
The following measures will help with the pain
• Lie on a hard bed.
• Anti -inflammatory drugs like Tablet Motrin 1 tablet as and when required ( dont repeat a dose before 6 hours) with food.
• Avoid forward bending.
• Correct your posture while sitting
• Avoid prolonged sitting
• Avoid strenuous activity & lifting heavy weights.
• Apply diclofenac gel on the affected area. Warm compresses and methylcobalamin supplements will also help.
