What Causes Pressure In The Area Between My Navel And Penis Along With Intermittent Constipation?

Question: HI. I have had pressure in the area between my belly button and penis and constipation on and off for 5 weeks. Gp examined me and told me i strained my groin muscle. no signs of hernia. been taking metamucil and has some relief. pain is non existent at night . I get up and have bowel movement, eat breakfast which is only a bowl of oatmeal and coffee. i drink a whole bottle of water and about an hour or so later i urinate. The pressure starts to build around 1 pm and it increases if i sit around. Walking feels a little better. I usually have another bowel movement during the day and at night before bed. Each time the pressure increases and then is somewhat relieved after each bowel movement. I do take flowmax for bph ,but i do not feel that I am having a problem voiding my bladder. Have a urologist appt. in a couple days to check that end out and a gastro dr. appt in 2 weeks. Any Ideas? I think I am losing my mind

As per your query over-straining during bowel moment can lead to sprain of the muscles.History of constipation is also suggestive of it.Add a laxative into your regimen.Polyethylene glycol solution would be good.Its available by name of Miralax. It would make stool soft and easy to pass and would help the sprained muscles to recover. Along with it take any anti inflammatory like ibuprofen.It would help in fast recovery of the sprained muscle.15 to 30 ml.of Miralax could be used.
