What Causes Persistent Headache With Tender Spot On The Back Of The Head?

default
Posted on Tue, 20 Sep 2016
Question: Hi there,
I have an intensely tender spot on back of skull right side, when touched. I have suffered non stop headaches for 7 years now on this same side of head, above behind right eye. Eyes were checked and okay, I wondered if this is a skeletal issue or neural? Any help would be appreciate, this has stumped my doctors.
Thank you XXXXXXX

Brief Answer:
Take treatment as advised, get examined by a neurologist

Detailed Answer:
Hello
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Unilateral localized headache may be numular headache.
If CT head is normal with no bone deformity then nothing serious.
You can take amitryptiline for benefits.
Get examined by a neurologist if any additional investigation required.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Do get back to me for further queries.
