Brief Answer:
EARLY PATELLOFEMORAL ARTHRITIS

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for posting the question.
I have gone through your medical history in detail.

Front thigh pain, and that too while cycling is most probably indicative of onset of patellofemoral arthritis. Patello-femoral joint is a part of the knee joint complex which is present infront of the lower thigh. It is surrounded by the thigh muscles in the front (Quadriceps femoris).

Inflammation, synovitis of this joint can cause pain while cycling due to stress on this quadriceps mechanism (the joint and the muscles in front of the thigh) causing pain.
Any manouvere / activity that causes load over the knee joint in 90 degrees of knee flexion (like cycling, climbing stairs, squatting) should be avoided.

I would suggest you to get an Xray (skyline view) and MRI of the knee joint done.

Walking and swimming would be a better option compared to cycling to preserve the knee joint in long term.

Wearing a compression bandage or knee cap can help.

Take analgesic pain killer tablets only if the pain is severe.

Consult a orthopedist if the pain aggravates.

I hope the answer was useful.

Feel free to ask me any doubts that you may have.

Thank you.
Best wishes.
