What Causes Pain In The Back Of Head?
Question: Hello,
I have headaches occasionally (few times a month). This is happening for a long time, since I was very young. It mostly starts by pain in the back of my head (or cervical spine? difficult to localise) then I get a strong pain in the forehead, sometimes also on top of the eyes under the skull.
Saridon always helps me - in ~45 mins pain is highly reduced, after 2 hours is almost no more pain. When pain is over, it is all normal for weeks until it starts again. Which doesn't make sense to me much because Saridon is just analgesic, right?
I can start this pain myself - by looking with my head down for a loner time like 1 hour or when holding my head by hand under the chin (when sitting for example in a pub) for longer time. Sometimes even by looking still at one point like a TV.
What can cause it? Is it some problem with cervical spine?
Recently I started having vision problems as well - which may or may not be related to headaches. It started in the morning - without anything spacial, no injury or something. First day I 'felt weird' like dreaming, the next day I started seeing objects moving slowly (less than 10cm for objects at ~3m distance) and when I move my eye to the left rapidly it feels like slow motion. I think that also my eyes move slower than normal left/right but normally in up/down direction.
I am going to visit the doctor on Monday (mainly because those vision problems which looks scary) but I want to have more opinions / ideas.
Last note - a few years ago I had insensitive sole of the right foot. That was due to B12 insufficiency and was cured by B injections. May or may not be related.

3. Cervical spondylosis.
You are too young for Cervical spondylosis so we concentrate on Migraine and your eyes.
Is there any body in your family(Mother, Father Or Sibling) suffer from either diminished vision or migraine from an early age?
What ever is yes , chances of you having same is very high.
Your vision problem also indicates both as there are reports that migraine also causes vision problem.
Your B12 deficiency may be associated with vision problem, but may not if you have family history of diminished vision.
So after your doctor looks at your eyes, he may come to a conclusion as on what to do next.
Saridon is good drug provided you do not take it empty stomach.
