Brief Answer:
Need more details

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for your query.

In have read your query and seen your reports.

I need more details about your pain like where exactly is pain, is it constant or comes and goes, what makes it worse, what makes it better, does it radiate to any other part, is there any swelling, any other symptoms, etc.

In your reports, vit D is low. You should take vit D supplements min dose 20000iu per week.
Your uric acid is also raised but it causes pain in joints.
Otherwise your reports suggest fungal or parasitic infection.

Also get examined by an orthopedic surgeon.

Waiting for your reply.

Hello Doctor,

Thanks for the prompt response. The pain is exactly in my knee joint due to which it becomes difficult to climb the stairs. It is constant and does not come and go. It feels better when I bend my knee and worse is climbing and moving. It does not radiate to any other part There is no swelling on any part of the body.It feels burning sensation on the lower base of the feets (Talua).

As advised by the doctor, I have started taking vit A & d tablets thrice a day with each tablet containing 1000 iu which will make around 21000 ie per week. But till when I will have to continue with this.

I know my uric acid is raised but it causes pain in joints but at the time of my report analysis, I was told that this is not a problem and only I need some restrictions and need not to take any medicine. The report is now five months old so do I need to get some other tests done?

Please adv. Awaiting your response

Thanks with best regards

Brief Answer:
Seems like synovitis

Detailed Answer:
Hi again

It seems to be synovitis most probably fungal. Nothing much to worry. An examination by an orthopedic surgeon and further tests will narrow the diagnosis. Synovial fluid aspiration and examination is needed to confirm the diagnosis of synovitis. But it is an invasive procedure and should be preceded by other non-invasive tests like x-ray etc.

The vit D supplements will need to be taken for atleast 3 - 6 months. Why are you taking vit A supplements?

Hello Doctor, Good morning.

I am also advised by my friend who has also suffered with acute vit D shortage (his was less than 4). He advised me to take Cholecalciferol Granules 1 G Sachets (CALCIROL) one in week whichi is having 60,000/- iu. is it ok and in that case should I discontinue Vit A & D tab. Please adv

Thanks with regards

Brief Answer:
Yes it can be taken

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Cholecalciferol and vit D are same. You can it at the dose of 60,000 IU for first month. Later switch to lower doses.

I think Vit A is unnecessary. You can discontinue it.
