Detailed Answer:
Hello again.

Bilateral knee pain can be due to a number of causes including exercise strain after a long time, vitamin D and calcium deficiency, osteomalacia, cruciate ligaments injury. Empirically, NSAIDs like Diclofenac potassium , muscle relaxants such as orphenadrine citrate or tizanidine can be prescribed for two weeks to see for improvement. Topical substance P depletors, voltral gel and physiotherapy can also help with the overall recovery. Calcium, PTH and vitamin D levels should also be checked for. A month of supplements including vitamin d / calcium such as Ossobone D can also be added. If the knee pain persists then a rheumatologist persists despite the above measures then a rheumatologist should be consulted to examine the knees and advise further management options including local arthroscopy or local steroid injections.
